Now we rest from our labors.
Admired and welcomed by sister Eden.
The proud, young father who was 28 years old at the time of Elliott's birth. This birthday is Elliott's 28th!
Bright-eyed and engaging (not to mention adorable) at two months!
Early visits to the west coast cemented a love for the ocean in him.
I think this was Disneyland (in a big tea cup) in about 1984
.
A meeting with C. Everett Koop, then Surgeon General of the U.S., perhaps planted the seed of interest in public health.
Fifth birthday brought the gift of Tiny Toes--also a reward for not biting finger nails.
A fascination with creatures great and small (while David takes comfort in big brother's confidence:)
And to a littler brother, always an encourager and nurturer
Cedar Point Farm for many summers brought endless hours of exploration and fun in the sun, the mud, and the water. Beloved Lady guards her flock.
A maturing experience--building the chicken coup and beginning the egg business
School Days at Rivendell School
The 60's Unit in 8th grade
Ahhh, that middle part. . .
Graduation speech
Thoughtful boy on the threshold of young manhood.
High school at St. Stephens and St. Agnes
College summer in Buelllton--beautiful California hill county.
University of Virginia college graduate -- It literally poured cats and dogs the entire day of Elliott's graduation. The Lawn was a mud pit, and, yes, this was the best picture I got.
A new passion for birding
The young researcher--India 2008
Tropical relaxation in Kerela with the fam
Looking ahead to continued faithful service in God's Kingdom
How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
Praise be to you, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.
I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
Psalm 119:9-12, 14
January 30, 2010 -- Becoming a husband!
The bride enters...The happy couple...
The journey continues. . . in a new season.
Can life be speeding on at this rate?! Now he's the dad of two--
Lena, almost two years old and Gil, six weeks old
Lots of love and HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY, our dear Elliott!

And now...Happy 35th Birthday, Elliott!
The last three years have been busy ones: Moving to California, working hard to earn a promotion in the army, parenting two lively children and being a good husband, expecting a new baby in May, and publishing his first novel in the early fall of 2015 called The Chimera Sequence, a bio-terrorism thriller--a must read!

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Elliott!
"Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth."

Time marches on and now there are four little ones in the Elliott Garber family. To Lena and Gil have been added Forest and Amos, as of June 2018. Elliott is a busy man in the thick of life.

Yay!! I love how you ended with a photo from the same train car that finished off mine. Ah, those awkward middle school years... :)
I love these walks through history with your sweet children, now grown & mature. Happy 29th year, Elliott.
Steve looks so much like Jonathan in that picture...or, I guess, it is the other way around.
Happy Birthday Elliott!! I'm impressed that Uncle Steve took a young kid to a meeting with C. Everett Koop!! I wouldn't have been so brave, but I'm sure he behaved perfectly!!
