On Christmas Day Steve, Jonathan and I drove to Pittsburgh to spend the afternoon, evening, and next day with Grammy. She looked lovely in her pretty red dress when we arrived . She smiled broadly and welcomed us each by name, even Jonathan whom she hadn't seen in quite a while. We went to the library of the Home and talked and read together the book Christmas in the Trenches by John McCucheon. Actually, she read it aloud, and you can see a bit of her doing that in our movie clip.
The next morning the lovely nieces with the greats came to see Grammy and then went on to the Natural History Museum.
