My Wedding Artifacts :)

Here is the suit that Judy helped me pick out for the wedding. It was very pretty, and I had fun wearing it. Who knows if I'll get to wear it again, but I hope so :). The corsage was a lovely antique-ie arrangement with roses and old ribbon. Below it is laid on one of the napkins (a.k.a. bandana) from the rehearsal dinner.

Below is one of the country flower arrangements that we had on each of the six tables at the rehearsal dinner. They are in drinking mugs which were on Becca and Elliott's registry. When the flowers fade, the mugs will head over to their apartment. Beside it is one of the napkins.

It's one week since the rehearsal dinner, and we still have many of the bouquets around our house looking as fresh as ever, even as the blizzard of 2010 is happening outside the window. Yes, we had 5-6 inches of snow coming down during the wedding last Saturday, but it's nothing compared to the snow this Saturday! More blogging on that later....

Wedding Views

Here are a few pictures from Elliott's wedding that a friend took. They're just a preview. When we get some of the photographers, I'll hopefully put a few more on of a little better quality. In this first is our new family with from l. to r: David, Jessica, Steve, Becca, Elliott, Meg, Jonathan, and Eden.

It was a snowy day and the large atrium style room was cold.
Here is Becca in a pose before the wedding.

There was wedding pie instead of wedding cake. I had the honor of making "the pie" that they would cut, and here they are cutting it. The big concern since it was a mixed berry pie was that it could stain the bride's dress when they fed each other. But they were careful, and there were no stains from the pie :).

Beautiful sisters of the groom!

Elliott & Becca's Rehearsal Dinner Slide Show

I haven't blogged for so long, but maybe I will now about Elliott & Becca's wedding which was Saturday, January 30, amidst the second significant snow of the winter. On Friday evening, we hosted the rehearsal dinner in the Carriage House at Raspberry Plain in Leesburg, where the wedding would be the next day in the "big house." I'm sharing the slide show I created for the dinner just for fun.
