All the flowers are thanks to Steve, as mostly everyone knows. I love all of them, but the pansy always makes me think of my Grandma Greeta (my mom's mom). She loved pansies, and I remember her pointing out their little "faces" to me and commenting on their beauty.
The weeping cherry has gotten as tall as the house now. Remember when we planted that? Eden especially had some say in it, as I remember. We dread the day when the blossoms will be replaced by leaves, but that is how God made it. I keep thinking there is some Godly metaphor in the short-lived, but exuberant life of tree blossoms. Can anyone help me out here?
I made it to the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin three times this year. This particular evening was cold and windy, but beautiful and crowded as always. Appreciation of their beauty is certainly universal!
A one-guest spring supper in an empty-nest household. . .
Morning light on the tulips. . .
The first strawberry-rhubarb pie of the spring (have had two since then). Fresh rhubarb is hard to find even during its season.

Next year I'll be enjoying all the beautiful flowers and D.C. cherry blossoms in person!
Hoooray!!
Dear Steve - Thank you for those beautiful flowers. Do you think you could spend some time working on a Kansas-scape? Thank you for the beautiful pictures, Meg. Your dinner table looks fit for BH&G. All of it does. But it is the beautiful hearts that truly warm it all. Love-luv-ILU,K
Meg- I envy your long Spring... we are still dodging blizzards here. Rain yesterday on Easter but you didn't hear any ranchers complaining! Fresh flowers! I have been keeping some fresh ones around to cheer me up... Thanks for keeping up with us!!!
Hugs!
"I love the picture of you and Uncle Steve"
