Little bitty Update...

The saga continues...

The living are in the basement.

And...imagining the upperroom with a chair.

These pictures are from last week. The new thing is the window in the upstairs room. Perhaps we should name it "the upper room." That just came to me:).

The founder of the feast (i.e. renovation)

Dad's office...
the outhouse lends a refreshing scent. (Note: he is "our Jon" is he not...) better view... A warm scene, taken from the new entrance hall thing.
the "addish"...or are we building a townhouse right next to ours? hmm...
View from M&D's room into their addition: Another view...
The Smithsonian has requested we donate our oven and dishwasher to the American History museum:

Notice the old fridge...new dining room.

The View from the old Dining room...notice the chandelier!
Well, I am the updater now... Sadly, I had to COME HOME to update mom's blog. That is how much I care. You can see the changes. Pretty crazy and hard to believe that there was a deck where the new stuff is and that we actually lived in the equivalent of a one room hut until now. Eden: you are luckiest of all because it will be done when you come home for the first time and will never have to be here for the Stress! :) It will look good I know, but I have to remind myself that this is Mom and Dad's (and they are doing a good job), NOT mine! Anyway, here are the pics.

Well, here is the blog I said I might make to show you the progress of the house. Don't expect much fine reflection here like you often see on Eden's or David's blogs, but you hopefully will see some pictures of the house as it changes. It's kind of scary and will become even more so when we get kicked out of major parts of our house, but all that is yet to come. Dad and I spent a good bit (at least it seemed to me) of time yesterday and Friday looking at cabinets and counter tops and being forced to do something that is so hard--make decisions!

Here goes!

Hey I can't seem to control where the pictures go or how to make captions. But they are all of the first days of construction with one then two walls up with framing.

Now the progress is much more than these pics. All the walls are framed and the roof framing is on as well. The window and skylight in our bedroom are boarded up and there is a tarp on the roof. Yikes! I'll post some more pictures when I have them. Jess has some of the more recent on her camera, but she says she cannot deal with them right now! Sigh.
